TransCanada Will Build and Operate a $550 Million Pipeline Project in Mexico

TransCanada Corporation has been contracted to build and operate a $550 million 420-km natural gas pipeline that will run from Tula to Villa de Reyes in Mexico.

The Tula – Villa de Reyes pipeline adds to the existing pipeline network that TransCanada owns and operates in Mexico, making it the sixth major gas pipeline system that the company operates in the country. This addition complements TransCanada’s existing pipeline network in North America and furthers their plan to own and operate highly contracted and regulated systems that generate stable earnings and cash flow.

The growing power producer TransCanada has over 65 years of experience in the industry and has pipelines that tap into virtually all major gas supply basins in North America.

The Tula – Villa de Reyes pipeline project is proposed for an in-service date of early 2018.
