The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration filed a Corrective Action Order to Sunoco Logistics Partners on Wednesday pertaining to the Permian Express II Pipeline leak that spilled 800 barrels of oil on Saturday near Sweetwater, Texas.
According to the order, the spill occurred in a remote location, and there were no reported injuries. Further, no waterway impacts or other environmental concerns were reported. The leak visually appears to be contained.
The Permian Express II Pipeline runs for 279 miles from Colorado City, Texas to Corsicana, Texas.
The cause of the leak is undetermined and is being investigated.
