General Electric (GE) today celebrated its grand opening in Oklahoma City of the $125 million oil and gas technology center that is aimed to advance the industry with digital and hardware solutions.
The grand opening comes at a crucial time as oil and gas companies are looking for ways to be more innovative and cost efficient during the market slump.
“The new technology center in Oklahoma City will accelerate innovation; it’s where we can bring the full power of digital solutions and technology from across GE’s industrial businesses to advance the oil and gas industry,” said CEO of GE Oil & Gas Lorenzo Simonelli.
The research focus at the oil and gas technology center will be vast, covering all areas of oil and gas from production, construction, to performance.
GE hopes with this new technology center to write a new chapter for the oil and gas industry.
